The method prioritizes long-lived information, unknown dependencies, difficult upgrades and unresolved coverage questions. It does not estimate attack probability.

The check does not test your systems or estimate the chance of an attack. It looks for five conditions that make quantum-related planning more pressing and turns each one it finds into a conversation. The first three become your priorities; any others stay in view.
- Long-lived information. Records that must stay confidential for years are the core harvest-now, decrypt-later concern: information captured today could be decrypted later.
- Unmapped systems. An upgrade can only be planned for systems you know about, so the plan starts a record of services, owners and cryptographic dependencies.
- Older or custom technology. Long-lived devices and custom applications are often the slowest to change.
- Provider plans. Most organizations rely on software and service providers for these changes, so their written plans matter.
- Insurance and response. Reviewing cyber coverage alongside your preparation keeps renewal conversations specific.
Your plan lists your answers, the priority conversations and a link to the guide behind each step. It is generated in this browser tab and is not sent anywhere.
